Ben advises state and local clients in matters before Maine’s Legislature. Ben first began appearing before legislative committees while he was an attorney at the Maine Public Utilities Commission. Since his return to private practice, Ben has continued to appear before the legislature, has met with Maine’s governors, members of the executive branch, and legislators on various legislative matters, has provided testimony, and has assisted in the drafting and development of legislation. Unsurprisingly, given his energy and public utility practice, Ben appears most frequently before the Joint Standing Committee on Energy, Utilities & Technology Committee.
